Veterans all across America are beginning to stand up and take a pro-active part of their communities. The American Legion posts, VFW halls and dozens of grass roots efforts paint an encouraging picture of veterans taking positive measures in their towns and cities. More and more veterans are turning to local groups and to one another for assistance and support. This is a good sign because it illustrates not only the inefficiencies and errors of the Establishment, but it shows average Americans the power of coming together and working as autonomous groups. Hopefully, we will detach ourselves from dependency on the State altogether and free our Government for the purposes for which it was established in the first place; to support the People and protect our Land.
As long as people depend upon the Government to take care of their needs they will remain unable to do so themselves, and the Government will hold them in financial bondage and use taxes to fund wars so that corporations can keep the campaign funds rolling in. The Government should be funding these community efforts to strengthen our nation one zip code at a time instead of sending money to Israel or funding CIA operations such as ISIS or Boko Haram and the Ukraine nazis.
Terrorist groups like these are US/Imperialist creatures; they provide the rationale and justification for endless wars. Groups like Earth First!, GreenPeace, Food not Bombs, Homes not Jails, etc. are labelled as terrorists for feeding people and protecting the environment. The "domestic terrorists" are always groups that challenge the status quo or threaten corporate profits. They provide the rationale and justification of "domestic terror" comitted by the State security apparatus, the ongoing civil war between the police and the people. Jacksonville, Florida just got a BILLION dollars to soup-up their cops to "fight crime". I suspect the result will be more crime and officer involved shootings. The domestic terrorists are the cops that keep killing us and the politicians and judges that enable them to do so.
Veterans need to continue to stand up and decry these obscenities. We need to support the oppressed people in occupied countries, and we need to have the courage to stand up to our Government. We need to support whistleblowers and stand in unity with our brothers and sisters in jails, prisons and brigs around the world.
We need to remain respectful and mindful of those around us and denounce injustice, intolerance and violence.
The CIA is running amok in the world, and the US has been chomping at the bit for years trying to figure out a way to draw more countries into the EU so that we can exploit our European alliances and generate more profits for the international corporate cartels. (particularly the arms dealers). What better way to carve out new territories for global corporations than to promote/provoke "independence" and "democracy" in troubled regions like Eastern Europe and Africa?
In Africa the mining operations that fund war lords and jungle chieftans, the ebola crisis and Boko Haram all but pretty much guarantee the funnelling of massive amounts of tax dollars and American lives for the rest of our lives. The CIA and it's ilk are there to create opportunities for exploitation. Mostly war amongst nations, and within populations to foment justification for State interdiction.
On the home front, we must continue to build a strong voice to speak out against these depredations and continue to decry the travesties of the VA and the drone programs.
We must not waver in our support of Chelsea Manning and continue to advocate for her release, as well as amnesty for Edward Snowden. We must continue to build new coalitions to support Homeless People and continue to resist further repression of our natural rights.

OCCUPY VETERANS SAN FRANCISCO'S mission is to encourage Veterans of the United States military to stop taking their own lives with addictions and despair, and to instead take their lives back into their own hands, without depending on either government styled bureaucracy or on the Federal Government itself, which has exploited the soldier and continues to exploit the veteran soldier through many of the various so-called charitable or non-profit organizations.
With our Search and Rescue missions, we connect veterans first with themselves, and then with each other, using a buddy system model that fosters esprit de corps and unit cohesion.
Occupy Veterans of San Francisco aims to have the veteran re-engage the pre-deployment self and to integrate it with the Warrior Within.
Utilizing a one on one approach of peer guidance and art therapy, the Lost Soldier can find his or her way back to a meaningful life, and thus discover for themselves the way they need to move forward through the dark lonely nights of PTSD, homelessness, and Cultural Alienation to finally come home.
We realize the tremendous need to provide support for our comrades as they navigate the myriad service and VA options and recognize that there is no standard issue solution to all of the challenges faced by homeless veterans.
We respect and honor each veterans' experience, with the understanding that no one war is worse than any other war, and that behind it all is the Military- Industrial Complexes' need for a fresh Blood and Money harvest from each new generation of Americans.
Occupy Veterans seeks to erase competition for veterans as clients and customers and rather seeks to coordinate services and events so that no veteran feels left behind or unable to participate in the healing process.
Occupy Veterans is NOT a "grass-roots non-profit organization". It is, and will remain, a street level unit of disaffected veterans from all walks of life and many different campaigns dedicated to helping those brothers and sisters who have fallen through the supposed safety net promised to us by our Government.
We are weaving a safety blanket connecting individuals with their inner strength through holistic health practices and individually tailored therapy techniques. We are building a "vetwork" to connect us and provide each other with mutual aid in the struggle for self determination.
